Ms. Porschia Brown

Hello, my name is Porschia Brown and I am a fourth-year doctoral student at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology where I am working towards earning a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a master’s degree in Public Health. My clinical interests largely reside in treating adults who suffer from affective and personality disorders. My early experiences were focused with children and adolescents, and working within the family system. Accordingly, I have worked across the lifespan (childhood through adulthood) on various issues (e.g., mood dysregulation, behavioral problems, educational difficulties, relationship issues, etc.) for more than nine years.

My Style

My therapeutic approach is fundamentally characterized as client-centered. I take much pride in imparting warmth, understanding, and unconditional care and respect for my clients. My stance is that the clients are the experts of their lives and that I have been granted the opportunity to help navigate their worlds. With this, I try my very best to understand each and every client, appreciating their unique differences. I am often described as genuine, caring, and trustworthy. I strive to create the best experience for each client while helping to develop insight and tools to manage difficulties.

At Ellis Evaluation and Consulting Services, I provide therapeutic services for individuals, families, and couples. Should you have any questions or would like to learn more about service offerings, I would like to invite you to contact the office at (855) 878-5325 x1. Thank you so much for your consideration and please let me know if I can be of any help.
